Objective: 

 

  1. To understand concept of design as related to textiles.
  2. To enhance awareness and appreciation of art and aesthetics through design.

 

  • Preparation of various samples and an article of  Tie and Dye                         using direct dyes                                                                                 30 hrs
  • Identification of Fibers – Burning, Visual, Microscopic and Chemical          Natural: - Cotton, Wool, Silk, Jute
  • Manmade: - Viscose, Polyester, Acrylic and Nylon                       20 hrs   
  • Collection of various types of yarns:-                                                              Simple yarns- Single & Ply yarns.
  • Fancy yarns-   Single & Ply yarns.                                                     20 hrs                                                                     
  • Collection of various fabrics constructed through following methods:-          Weaving, Knitting, Felt, Braiding, Lacing.                             20 hrs                                              Stain Removal methods.                                                   30 hrs
