Description:
A guest Lecture was organized by the Jewellery Designing Department on “Design Research and Trends Forecast” on 26th April 2022at 9.30 am to 12.30 p.m. Mr. Anish Kappil Kunjumon, Associate Professor, IIGJ, Jaipur delivered his lecture on Design Research and Trends Forecast to provide students with the education and experience necessary for a professional career in Jewellery designing. He began his presentation by presenting a brief video that explained that in order to make distinctive jewellery, one must be highly creative and observant, and must be able to envision attentively objects and events happening around them in order to produce initial concepts. He introduced the students to the broad spectrum of Jewellery industry, from Design process, Design Research, Sketching, Jewellery Making, Merchandising, Marketing, and Design Methodology using illustrated examples. He also gave the students an overview of how to foresee jewellery trends and the most recent trends in the European and American markets.The purpose of this lecture was to make the students learn various innovative and creative techniques of Jewellery designing.
The session ended with a question answer session from students and faculties and Vote of Thanks given by Dr. Neeru Jain, Head, Department of jewellery designing.
