An industrial visit to Gem Plaza was organized for the students of B.Sc. Jewellery Design & technology, B.A./B.Com. /B.Sc. Jewellery Design & technology, Diploma Jewellery Designing on 09/10/2021, Saturday.

Gem Plaza Mfg. Co. (P) Ltd has been a jewellery house in Jaipur since 1988. Each piece is elegant and pure, delicate but bold in craftsmanship, and instantly recognisable by jewellery buyers while maintaining the dignity of nobility. Gem Plaza is considered as a pioneer and a symbol of exquisite craftsmanship in the world of handcrafted jewellery. We went to the factory and watched the skilled artisans at work. The entire production process is carried out in a factory with 150 workers and a team of experienced, talented, and creative designers, fully equipped with the latest machineries and equipments, located in a Special Economic Zone (100 percent export oriented zone of the Indian government), with a floor area of 10000 sq ft., the entire production process is carried out in a factory with 150 workers and a team of experienced, talented, and creative designers, fully equipped with the latest machineries and equipments, the entire production process starting from designing until the final polish is done in-house. Because they believe in fair trade, they only use conflict-free stones and diamonds in their jewellery. Necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, cufflinks, and other ornaments are among the company's excellent gold and silver jewellery.

The objective of this visit was to introduce the students to the technology and several practical operations involved in the jewellery creation process. They learned about the many processes involved in the creation of jewellery.

Mr. Akhil Dhadda Director briefed the students about the manufacturing process of diamond and kundan Meena Jewellery. He  also imparts the knowledge about upcoming technologies in jewellery industry and blessed them for their lucrative career. The visit proved to be beneficial exercise for all the students as it was completely knowledgeable for future perspective.
