5 days workshop on Jewellery beading workshop at The IIS university,Jaipur 

The department of Jewellery designing organized a jewellery beading workshop from 23^rd Feb,2015 to 27^th Feb., 2015 (5 Days) which was open for all.

During the workshop, students got the opportunity to learn all the phases of jewellery beading from the beading expert Mr. Deepak Khandelwal and chose to make the beautiful pieces like necklace, bracelet and earrings etc according to their interest.

In the beginning session, Dr. Neeru Jain, Head, Department of Jewellery designing, ICG, introduced the students with the beading process, tools and materials. In practical sessions, students were involved with the planning and practice of techniques, types, size and colour combination of the beads as well as beading designs. They learned the technical skills including use of the various pliers, threading, knotting and stringing.

Twenty one students participated and the department provided all the tools and various semi-precious stones such as carved and plain jade, garnet, and iolite, turquoise & pearl,etc.

Dr. Rakhi Gupta, Principal, ICG encouraged all the students who participated enthusiastically in the workshop and she said that we organize such informative workshops from time to time in order to imbibe technical skills and knowledge amongst the students.
