Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Enhance the skills of the formation of gemstones, their crystal system, physical, optical & chemical properties-Study of 4 ‘C’s of diamonds, Use of various Gemology instruments.

Gemology 

CO112: Develop an in-depth comprehension of the principles and techniques used in distinguishing, categorizing, and evaluating both raw and refined forms of valuable gemstones, including precious, semi-precious, and organic varieties. Achieve expertise in employing specialized tools and instruments to accurately assorting and evaluating the unique attributes and qualities of gemstones

CO113: Compile comprehensive practical records detailing plans related to jewellery design across diverse institutional settings and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

CO114: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
