Objective: 

 

  • To acquaint students with the current and emerging issues and trends in the discipline
  • To emphasize on the research & in-depth study any topics related to Jewellery world

    Student will be able to :

    1. Select and define a research topic and implement a research plan using appropriate methodologies, analyse their results and draw logical conclusions.
    2. Exercise initiative and personal responsibility in the work environment, Carry out further independent learning or continuing professional development.
    3. Critically reflect on experience of significant managerial responsibility.
    4. Continue as a researcher in an academic or commercial setting and have the potential to extend the bounds of knowledge in their chosen field.
    5. Also, they will have the qualities needed for employment in situations requiring the exercise of initiative and personal responsibility together with decision-making in complex and unpredictable situations.

    Approach in teaching:

    Assigning  inter  and  multi-disciplinary  projects  combining  design  awareness  and  business  knowledge.

Students will give presentation on topics related to current and emerging issues in different areas of Jewellery  designing, international & domestic Jewellery, history, gemology, metal study,   production, fashion, manufacturing etc.

 

Students will give a power point presentation and a report on the given topic and shall be evaluated by the panel of examiners consisting of Head of the Department, external examiner and one appointed by the Principal.
