To make students aware about trends of various jewellery markets.

Description:

A guest Lecture was organized by the Jewellery Designing Department on “Jewellery Trends and Forecast” on 19th November 2022 at 9.30 am to 12.30 p.m.  Ms. Madhu Sharma, Associate Professor, IIGJ, Jaipur delivered her lecture on Jewellery Trends and Forecast to provide students with an insight on the trends of the season. She began her presentation by showing some pictures of jewellery that explained that in order to make distinctive jewellery, one must be highly creative and observant, and must be able to envision attentively objects and events happening around them in order to produce initial concepts. She introduced the students with the concept of green jewellery, transformable jewellery, sustainable jewellery. She also gave the students an overview of how to foresee jewellery trends and the most recent trends in the European and American markets.

The session ended with a question answer session from students and faculties and Vote of Thanks given by Dr. Neeru Jain, Head, Department of jewellery designing.
