The Students of IIS (Deemed to be University) participated and displayed their ctreations in the prestigious Jaipur Jewellery Design festival, a unique feature of ‘Jaipur Jewellery Show’ (JJS). The 17th edition of JJS was held from December 24 to 27 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) at Sitapura. The theme of the 4 day long grand event was ‘Inspire to Create a Fashion Statement’.
The show had more than 800 booths of Gemstones and outstanding Fine Jewellery in 2 lakh square feet area. It is the best window to showcase Coloured Gemstones, Certified Diamonds, Gemstone studded Jewellery, Plain Gold Jewellery, Diamond Jewellery, Kundan- Meena Jewellery, Thewa, Sozo Jewellery, Color stone Jewellery, Studded Traditional Jewellery, Contemporary & Fusion Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Studded Handcrafted Jewellery, Platinum Jewellery, Machinery & Tools, Trade Publications, Designer Jewellery and Accessories.
JJS provides a platform to the manufacturers of Gem & Jewellery to market their products. This event also provide a platform to young and budding designers to showcase their talents at National & International level as both domestic and international visitors witness the show. The students got the opportunity to interact with eminent jewellers such as Dr. Nawal ji Agarwal, Nirupa Bhatt, Anoop Bohra, Rajiv Jain, Vijay Chordia, Sonal Swansukha to name a few. The aim of the interface is to to expose student designers to remarkable individuals and their path-breaking experiences in their respective design domains, endeavors to create an international design network for contemporary Jewellery design. The students got the opportunity to envision and explore trends and cross-industry shifts in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Jewellery Design World and also to remain a presentable with current jewellery design thought through the art gallery. It also helped in the development of cultural, business and professional awareness as well as communication skills among the students. The students left inspired to think more out of the box and to see their career from a different point of view. The event proved to be a great learning platform for the students.
