Objective of the Event:

  • To provide hands-on training in molding and shaping techniques.
  • To encourage students to experiment with innovative fashion jewellery concepts.
  • To learn fashion jewellery making using mouldit and clay.

Description:

The Department of Jewellery Designing successfully organized a one-day workshop on Innovative Fashion Jewellery Using Shilpkaar on 23rd January 2025. The workshop was designed to provide students with hands-on experience in crafting unique and contemporary jewellery pieces using Shilpkaar, a versatile sculpting material widely used in jewellery design. Ms. Rashmi Agarwal, Director of Time to Time Creations, conducted the session, sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise in fashion jewellery. The workshop was mandatory for all students of Jewellery Designing, ensuring maximum participation and engagement. The fashion jewellery making expert Ms. Rashmi Agarwal choose to make the beautiful pieces like necklace, Rings, Pendants, Bangles and earrings etc according to their interest.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Introduction to Shilpkaar: Ms. Rashmi Agarwal introduced the students to the properties and applications of Shilpkaar in jewellery making.
  • Hands-on Training: Students were guided through the process of shaping, molding, and designing jewellery pieces using Shilpkaar.
  • Techniques and Finishing: Various techniques for enhancing the aesthetics and durability of jewellery pieces were demonstrated.
  • Innovative Design Concepts: The resource person encouraged students to experiment with creative and contemporary jewellery designs.
  • Interactive Session: Students actively participated in discussions and received valuable insights into industry trends and market demands.

The workshop was highly informative and provided students with a platform to explore their creativity while learning a new medium for jewellery design. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Neeru Jain, Head, Department of Jewellery Designing.
