 CO102: Develop an in-depth comprehension of the principles and techniques used in distinguishing, categorizing, and evaluating both raw and refined forms of valuable gemstones, including precious, semi-precious, and organic varieties. Achieve expertise in employing specialized tools and instruments to accurately assorting and evaluating the unique attributes and qualities of gemstones

CO103: Compile comprehensive practical records detailing plans related to jewellery design across diverse institutional settings and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

CO104: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

  Identification, Sorting and Grading Of Stones.

  • Absorption Spectrum.
  • Defects in gem minerals
  • Flaws and inclusions.
  • Recognize the color, clarity and cut grading criteria of gemstones

  • Collect just a bunch of pictures of common and rare gems with a few bullet points on each, & collect some approachable gem stones for presentation.
