A guest lecture was conducted by the Jewellery Designing Department on the  Use of Various Softwares in Jewellery Industry. The event started with an introduction by Dr. Neeru Jain, the coordinator of the Department of Jewellery Designing. Dr. Jain welcomed the students and introduced the guest speaker, Ms. Reena Sharma, Manager at 3D Jewels, Jaipur.

Ms. Reena Sharma began her presentation by providing insights into the evolution of jewellery design and manufacturing, emphasizing the transition from traditional methods to modern technological approaches. She elaborated on the significance of computer-aided design (CAD) software and its role in enhancing creativity, precision, and efficiency in jewellery designing.

During her lecture, Ms. Sharma highlighted several key points:

  • Introduction to CAD Software: She introduced various CAD software used in the jewellery industry, such as RhinoGold, Matrix, and JewelCAD, explaining their features and functionalities.

  • Benefits of CAD in Jewellery Designing: She discussed the advantages of CAD software, such as rapid prototyping, customization, error reduction, and ease of modification.
